PENNY'S GANG RECORDS REINVENTS, REORGANIZES AND REEMERGES
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 9, 2009 (Los Angeles, CA) -
In a series of dramatic moves certain to be emulated by a host of independent labels, Penny's Gang Records (www.pennysgang.com) has emerged from a serious overhaul of their operating system and their business plan.
Penny's Gang Records (PGR) is now an innovative, multi-genre, faith-based independent record company with distribution through Fontana.
To accomplish the label's new set of operating procedures, owner Penny McCoy has brought in a team with extraordinary levels of experience. Thirty-year industry veteran Jeffrey Weber, who is the architect of the new business model the label is employing, now leads the label. Joining Weber are two industry stalwarts with decades of experience. Nancy Galdo is Senior Vice President of Operations, and Rick Rieger is Senior Vice President of Sales.
PGR's re-organization has touched all aspects of the company from top to bottom and from the inside out. Realizing that the record business is in a period of dramatic transition, PGR understood that the old way of doing business would not be the path to maintaining a future. McCoy has embraced a complete slate of innovative concepts and procedures, ranging from the manner in which artist contracts are conceived and implemented to recording procedures, to innovations in sales, marketing and promotion.
Designed to re-invent and re-energize the relationships between the artist and the label and the artist and the consumer, the label has established format-breaking levels of transparency and innovative partnerships in all their relationships.
Devoted to message-based music, PGR embraces all inspirational genres, from Christian to Gospel music including all musical styles from rock to rap.
The company's mission continues to be based on McCoy's personal vision. "I am fulfilling my God given destiny," she stated. "It is my desire to use this record label as an opportunity to fuel each and everyone with the hope of victory, freedom, healing and purpose leading to destiny."
Penny's Gang Records has also formed a mainstream label called 44-4 Records, also distributed through Fontana. The label will release significant artists from all genres as well as offering artists on Penny's Gang an alternative musical outlet.
